Journey to the Château, Ep. 450 – In this episode, Patrick and Stuart return to the Chateau de Colombe kitchen to continue with renovations. They reveal a secret project for a major change in the kitchen, and Patrick begins with the preparation work. They receive a new pump for the chateau courtyard fountain and try to get it installed. They also meet up with friends Tony and Jane to go to a brocante (flea market) in the French town of Vendœuvres.

Patrick my late husband got me some peacock tail feather's from a couple of fishing supplies shops. Have you asked around villages near you if there are any Peacocks near there as they will drop tail feathers time to time.

The glass doors into the rear area of the chateau from the kitchen is going to be wonderful from the sound of it. Having the light from that type of door is so nice, especially from the kitchen. That would be so nice and lovely to be able to walk outside from your kitchen to a beautiful terrace with a long table and the lighting. I have a vision it’s gonna look great. And it really will lighten up the kitchen. And I love that you’re gonna actually get the kitchen done because it’s so beautiful and I noticed you don’t include it on your tours. I guess because you feel like it’s not done? But honestly, it’s the most beautiful kitchen in France.

Here in the US Ostrich feathers are sold at craft stores like Michael's and Hobby Lobby. Maybe the same in France?
