Stopping energy power to the US is a nuclear option. Carney is still being measured in his response. In actual fact, I trust Carney to conduct these negotiations in the most effective manner. Okay, one of the things that Trump did not ban in his ban of Canadian dairy, is genetics. Why, you may ask? Not many people realize that 40% of our dairy exports to the US are in genetics (semen and embryos) because our cattle are not given hormones or steroids, making them superior for consumption. US cattle ranchers know this and right now their herds are falling in numbers. If we sell to our other customers instead, banning the export of our genetics, the US cattle industry falls even faster than it is now.

Well up t now, the Alcohol ban in Canada has been the choice of the Premiers, now is the time the PM adds US Alcohol to the official banned listing Canada, that will bring Alberta and Saskatchewan in line with the rest of the country.

Low but gradually increasing export tax on oil and gas to the US. Low to start to show Canada is serious, but not initially enough to hurt much. Increase the tariff 1% or so ever month. State it out front to be transparent and put pressure on US legislators through public anxiety.
