I’m a Slavic girl discovering America one bite at a time – and today I’m trying some of America’s favorite foods in the COSORI TurboBlaze Air Fryer!🇺🇲
I wanted to see how some classic American favorites would turn out in an air fryer, so I put the TurboBlaze to the test with mozzarella sticks, chocolate chip cookies, hot dogs, French fries, and corn on the cob!🍟🌭🍪
As someone who moved to the United States and is still discovering American food and culture, I had a LOT of opinions about these! 😅 Which one do you think turned out the best?
Thank you to COSORI for partnering with me on this video! ❤️
⬇️Try the COSORI TurboBlaze Air Fryer:
The TurboBlaze features a 6-quart capacity, multiple cooking functions, a DC motor, and a PFAS-free ceramic coating.

For example, if you wanted to make hot dogs and fries for dinner, put the fries in and cook for 9 minutes then add the hot dogs and cook an additional 6 minutes, done.
Can confirm
Microwave just sits there depressed now.
Air fryer is dope as fuck
So, a easy sauce for the mozz sticks or seafood stuff:
Easy cocktail sauce
Ketchup in bowl
Forkful of horseradish
Splash of Wash your sister/worschestershire shire sauce
Too spicy? More ketchup
Too bland? More horseradish
Want it a little sweeter? Splash again of the difficult named sauce
Always makes more than you need
And I hear y'all asking "what are the measurements though?"
Surely, I do not know, I been slapping this together since about 5 years old.
It's just a easy cocktail sauce.
If you didn't know, now you do. Go forth. Enter flavor country
Definitely cook your own mozz sticks. Very simple. Get a 12 pack of string cheese, cut each in half. Three bowls – 1. egg wash, 2. seasoned flour, 3. panko bread crumbs. Dip and cover in this order: 1, 2, 1, 3. Plate and freeze for an hour. For the seasoning, use salt, pepper, garlic, onion, and paprika for color. Easy, perfect mozzarella sticks.
Air fryers are just the current craze, like the past instapot. Just another gadget to clutter the kitchen counter. Air fryers are nothing more than a small convection cooker, just as the instapot is nothing but an electric pressure cooker.
Air fryer changed my life
Marinara sauce is overrated use pizza sauce instead
Here's what's happening with the ranch. As cold air (from being in the refrigerator) warms up, it expands and creates pressure. The trick, is to squeeze the bottle before closing the lid and putting it back in the refrigerator.
You need to make some seasoned curly fries
12:21 Because you closed it and put it back in the fridge after sitting for a bit. The warm air stuck in the bottle contracted when it cooled. When you opened it again, you created a vacuum from that pressure differential that pulled any residual ranch in the vicinity of the hole outward. Physics is neat.
I gotta say no. I have never seen anyone put Ranch on a hotdog before! 😂
But hey. It's YOUR hotdog. I say eat it any way see fit!
My favorite hotdog topping is deli mustard and sauerkraut.
13:24 Fun fact! McDonald's fries taste the way they do because they're fried in beef tallow instead of a conventional frying oil.
Ranch is a crime. The sentence? Thirty years of… something. I'm not entirely sure what, but I've heard it's absolutely terrible.
And ketchup? That's a crime too.
The only acceptable toppings are mustard, relish, jalapeños, and real bacon bits—not those fake bacon-flavored bits. ❤😂
Air fryers are one of those things that seem frivolous and excessive, especially if your larger oven has a convection setting, that I was a hold out for a while when they first became popular. They cook frozen breaded chicken and fries better than anything else. plus it is nice to use an oven without heating up your house
16:17 Our sweet corn is bicolored! The white bits just don't have any color. That's it!
Small Air fries are relatively new for the home. I have one– they're great! .
They're actually a small convection oven, (circulating air) which have been available commercially since the 1940's on a much larger size.
"2015-2017: Air fryers gain international fame and enter the US market, with brands like Ninja, Dash, and Cosori releasing competitive models
2020s: The appliance sees a massive surge in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic due to increased home cooking, becoming a staple kitchen item with advanced features like smart connectivity and multi-cooking functions."
Tries mozzarella sticks once in Russia. “That’s it! I’m outta here. America here I come!”
She’s such a sweet person , can we import 1 million more of her type?
Leave the Ranch in the fridge till you're ready to use it. It gets warm on the counter, expands and causes it to spurt.
That corn is called a "Peaches and Cream". It's a hybrid of both yellow and white corn. So it has both colors. Very popular variety of farmers and gardeners because it's very pest and disease resistant.
An air fryer is a simple oven
Plus a microwave combined
By the way
Those tolehouse cookies are good without cooking
I think ranch is entirely appropriate for a veggie dog, when I think about it. 😉
They work great on wings, both frozen and unfrozen. They reheat leftover fries really well!
I need to try cookies! They look great.
Congratulations on getting noticed by a big company. I hope they will sponsor some of your videos. You deserve it. 🎉👏👏👏👍
Hey, just a heads up. My first Cosori air fryer caught fire when I was cooking up stuff on New Year's Eve. They replaced it for free and I haven't had any major problems since, but the power cord does still feel like it gets too hot. I don't recommend leaving it unattended.
The problem with the Ranch bottle is physics. You need to use it and immediately put it in the fridge. If you leave it out the air and dressing in the bottle warms up and the pressure inside increases and forces the dressing out of the bottle. If you open it with the lid facing up you should be able to avoid this.
Hot dogs are also very regional. They are a little different all over the country. 👍
Anna, IF you wish to keep using the air fryer please do yourself a favor and research a silicone cooking matt and even some parchment paper. It will greatly ease cleanup and make life much easier.
On regular hotdogs, ketchup or yellow mustard. 👍
Just to let you know you can do this in a microwave.
Here are some instructions to make corn on the cob in the microwave:
Method 1: Cook it in the husk (best flavor)
Leave the husk and silk on the corn.
Place 1–4 ears in the microwave.
Microwave:
1 ear: 3–4 minutes
2 ears: 5–6 minutes
3–4 ears: 7–9 minutes
Let it sit for 2 minutes (it will be very hot).
Cut off the bottom stem end and squeeze the ear out — the silk usually slides right off.
Add butter, salt, pepper, or your favorite seasoning.
yellow and white corn, usually "peaches 'n' cream" strain … there are other sweet corns
Making life easier is the name of the game, Anna. Air fryers do a great job of that, my wife & I love ours. Oh, be careful opening that Ranch!
We do our corn in the microwave husk on and cook for 7 minutes . When done we cut the husk off the end of corn about 1" and squeeze to get the husk off and no strings to pick off
Anna, did you know you can bread zucchini and eggplant sticks and air fry them. They are great with marinara sauce. Just remember to salt things after are frying to bring out any extra flavors. 😊
