Drank beautifully as one could imagine from Calon. Fruit was still there, the cedar and graphite notes sat together in a very unified way mid to front of tongue. Logged my notes – and notably was encouraged to find more 'iron' like characteristics from the mineral notes which came around and we found very fun to look for.
Paired beautifully with mushroom soup, roasted duck and a salad for the evening.

Beautiful. We had a 1990 birth year calon segur a few years back and it was still doing great, though slightly past prime. Sounds like this one was still holding strong.
