My first time having Erbaluce- one of Italy's many indigenous grapes (This one is from the N. Piemonte region).

I find this to be a lot of wine for $35. It's juicy with Vibrant mouth watering acidity but with a rich texture (thick skins) and a slightly bitter edge (maceration) that makes for a unique trio. Flavors of lemon zest, yellow apple, peach pith, white flower, almond, tangerine peel, and ocean spray with a briny mineral finish.

Extended finish.

A winning find by the KLWM team.

Italy seems to have an endless supply of secret/lost/niche white varieties!
