I’m moving into a home that has this small wine storage area in the basement. I don’t need a wine storage area. Can anyone think of a different use for this small space that would still look nice? I think it’s too small for an office or a home gym space and it would be awkward as a closet for storage because it has glass as a wall with a door. I’m just not sure how to repurpose it.

This is a perfect space for an office. Definitely not too small (unless your photo is skewing the square footage).

  2. If you have any hobbies this is a great place to center a room around them. Music. Gaming. Mahjong. Poker. Crafting. There are a lot of fun ways to showcase a collection here too with the glass doors. But I agree, it looks large enough for a functional office space. The acoustics might be rough but you could easily panel a back wall to help.

How functional is your kitchenette? If you host people a lot, this could be a great gourmet pantry. Get a fancy fridge/freezer (helpful for bulk item shopping) and more substantial shelves. Party storage can be beautifully done.

This is all said because you are not jazzed by the office idea, and storage is always a plus.

Put window film on glass(there’s a wide variety of styles and patterns available) use the space for storage

Butlers pantry, home office, or craft room.

Are there any electrical outlets? I could see arcade games in there if you had teens or tweens.
