We have a jute rug with cream colored wool rug on top. Unfortunately our dog runs around and kicks up the rugs so they don’t stay in place. The jute rug is coming apart because we pull it so much to move it back into place. I’m looking for a new rug to replace these that is a bit sturdier than the jute, where even if we have to shift it around, it won’t rip apart.
I do use a thick rubber backed rug pad that stays in place, but the rug doesn’t stay because of the dog.
I tend to gravitate to high pile, cream wool rugs because I love the texture, but wasn’t sure if there were other options. I’m curious about color options too.
