Hello, please excuse my use of AI to mock up how these would look in our room. We went to see these sofas today and now can’t decide what looks better. Do we go with one green and one Burgendy or two Burgendy for our room? We’ve asked friends and it seems pretty divided, some love the charm of the two colours and others think keeping the colour the same is more chic… third picture is how the colours look together IRL.

Yes but a more subtle mismatch – like red and burnt orange not such high contrast.

I don’t like this mismatch. It looks like Christmas in the summer in a bad way. Either color matching is fine.

To my eye, the burgundy with the area rug is too monochromatic. I like the contrast of the green sofa, and if it were me, I’d buy two green ones. I have two identical sofas in my living room, and I love them.

Matching furniture sets scream ‘i don’t understand interior designing’, but in this case the mismatch is giving Christmas vibes

I prefer the mismatch. I think it looks less overwhelming. The amount of reddish colour in the first picture feels quite heavy.

I prefer matching in this specific scenario. For mismatch, I’d rather see one solid & one patterned with a common color tie between them.

I like mismatched over matched, but not these colors. I think incorporating a print or pattern in one of them may help, or do two non matching chairs in lieu of one of the sofas.

I know mismatch is suppose to add more dimension etc but the monochromic burgundy couches especially with the rug really reads more warmer and richer and just looks nicer in my opinion. I vote both burgundy.

    I love mismatched everything

I don’t like matchy furniture but 2 couches do need of match in this particular case. Introduce something else like an upholstered chair if you want to break up the matchiness.

I have no problem with two different sofas in a space, however, they need to complement each other and look good together. They need to be two different styles, not just the same sofa and two different fabrics. Plus, these fabrics look pretty bad together.

Mismatched works best when they’re different couches as well rather than the same couch in different colors. Not that it CAN’T work, but I dont think it does in these colors.

If that’s a navy blue in the rug I’d go with a navy blue couch but that’s just me because the red is too much red in the room

Would do one burgundy, and one navy or brown leather in a different style. Maybe a Chesterfield.
