Top choice is best.
I think after 6 months you will hate both of them. White will show stains and black will show fuzzies and dust.

Do you have kids? Are you yourself messy? If yes to either of those, I would not go with that light colored sofa as it just isn’t practical. But as far as just the overall look is concerned? In that case, the lighter sofa looks better.
Paint the walls a warm white and get a sage green couch.
I like the cream color better. I have a light color leather couch, it works very well.
I’ll just say, we have a white couch and we were so afraid to eat even a single potato chip on it, that we ended up getting couch covers…. I’d do more of a cream, light brown or beige color if I was ready to buy another!
