Some said the blue and white tiles looked like boy in striped pajamas, World Trade Center, Argentina jersey, circus tent, very coastal etc my niece said it looks like bananas in pajamas 😭 so I am curious what you guys think about this one? And any pitfalls I should be aware of? I know cleaning is going to be a major job lol

I’m sorry but this one is just ugly. I honestly didn’t mind the previous one but this is just too in your face and the stripes will be a lot.
imo the issue is that the square tiles are very beige and dont have similar tones to the blue. theyre like a slightly neutral/warm beige. Id get something closer to blue, not necessarily flat out blue, but like a really pastel blue or smth.
This is like 90s saved by the bell color combi
In your reference image, the tan tiles have lots of variation and I think that’s a major factor in the finished tile wall looking good. Will you try for variation in the tiles? I worry that one tan color will look off
