First time trying Continuum.
Was wrestling for which wine would be right for dinner at Rasa in Burlingame, settled on this. Figured I've had luck with slightly mature Napa Cabs and Indian food.
Gave this a decant and enjoyed over 90 minutes.
I did want to give this an hour decant before dinner, but sadly, life had other plans.
This was a little tight at first, but opened up nicely pretty quickly.
Dark plum, blackberry, and dark cherry on first glance.
Alongside graphite, pencil shavings, slight eucalyptus, toasted cedar.
Maybe some slight spice on the palate too.
Paired well with the appetizers and shared courses, namely vada pav, corn chaat, and masala dosa. Less so the lotus root curry and that's because that dish was sweet.
But it did stand up well to the spice. It's interesting that traditional wine theory says never pair Indian food and Cab and yet I've had tremendous success doing so, just the right Cabs.
Fantastic wine, really enjoyed it, look forward to trying more from Continuum.

Just tried the 22 not too long ago and came away extremely impressed, wouldn’t have guessed Napa in a blind. Interesting pairing you got there
