The darker shade will feel more polished/expensive looking. So it depends on the vibe you are going for.

Oh, those are both splendid choices of color! I think I would go for the dark one.

Just a random passerby who instinctively feels dark here.

I have this tile in my bathroom and I LOVE the dark color! I wish I could paint in my rental!!! Agree with the comment that it will look more expensive. I think it’s OK if a bathroom looks smaller if the vibes are amazing like they will be!

I like both, but dark if I had to choose.

Too dark.

The darker one will be moodier. I’m obsessed with fabulous wallpaper though in these gorgeous retro bathrooms.
I like the lighter one since it has more contrast against the black tile. And yes to color drenching! Maybe with the darker shade

I say wallpaper and the ceiling in the darker color

oooooh nice.
I’d probably be looking for a mint green or lavender because I don’t love plummy purples, but of these two, I prefer the lighter so you don’t lose the contrast of the black trim. Could go lighter on walls and dark on ceiling.
Are the walls smooth enough to pull this off without showcasing flaws?
