I just moved in to an apartment that’s twice as big as the former. I want it to feel cozier. Any tips? I can’t splurge with furniture rn and I’m still paying off the couch. Also, should I just move the rug to another room or keep here for now?

Everything looks fine. Keep the rug for now because it looks barren without it. Probably prioritise a large carpet when you get money to buy something new.
Its a little hard to tell if the couch is too long for this, but if not: i would put the tv on the short far wall and rotate the couch so it’s floating in the room and facing tv!
