I honestly hate how big this deck is😭😭 we bought this house about a month ago and I don’t understand why they would build a deck this big??? I have no idea what to do with it! Please help! I want to tear it apart and make it smaller but is there a way to make this deck look nice?? I have a pretty good size yard so that might be apart of why they made it so big but it’s honestly just annoying, please send me ideas😭

Create spaces and shade for family dining, gardening stations, conversation pit space, If you don’t have a screened in porch add one. Above ground gardening on it can create spaces and keep plants from the critters.

Wth.. build an another house on it?
Or like you could have a bar, seating, tables a dance floor and host/rent it out for events.

Zones first: outdoor dining, outdoor conversation area (like a livingroom), sunbathing zone and cooking zone. Maybe a hot tub?

    Then add shade where needed.

Dude, so many possibilities! You can have a little area for a grill/outdoor kitchen, a seating area with umbrellas or gazebos, a hot tub, a raised garden bed area. Create spaces with gazebos, potted plants , privacy screens. All of this depends on your budget, interests, weight the deck can hold.

Come on, you built a 32×34 deck, you already have a plan for it.

Divide it into areas, cooking out and table to eat with umbrella, sitting area with a safe fire pit or gas fireplace, play area for kids, big pots with flowers, maybe a gazebo area. Sun shades?

Large umbrella, seating, a table, a grill, a hot tub, a children’s play area (if you have kids), an herb garden…. so many options…

Zone it. Create the grill/dining area nearest the kitchen, maybe with a drinks area (either a bar or a place to keep bottled drinks on ice). Create conversation areas with couches, chairs, and side tables that can be easily moved. Set aside a space for the kids with smaller chairs or a spot to play. Get patio umbrellas for shade. Use outdoor rugs to define the spaces.

Well, it looks like you have kids. I would set up a huge water play area. Probably whichever corner you have the best drainage lol. And like others said with all that room, you can get a grill a smoker really nice table shade some cool café lights.

  11. You basically have an outside house now. Create rooms with rugs and seating. A full outdoor kitchen would be nice. I assume you live somewhere that you can be outside a lot. Definitely would cover some part of it with shade or awnings. And lots of lights. I’m jealous.
