Caramelized Strawberry Banana Stack | Cozy Art ASMR Realistic Watercolor Painting Process #24
Welcome to Episode 24 of my 100 Days of French Toast Watercolor Marathon! 🎨
Today, we are serving up a spectacular classic combination with an artisanal twist! We are painting a towering, ultra-thick stack of caramelized French toast, crowned with a vibrant pile of fresh strawberry halves, delicate banana slices, a sprig of mint, and a beautiful snowy dusting of powdered sugar. Settle into a comfortable spot, unwind, and let the calming, chatter-free ASMR brush sounds carry you away.
✨ What’s Inside:
This session focuses on capturing the heavy weight of thick-cut bread and the translucent beauty of pooling syrup:
The Pooling Syrup Base: Learn how to paint the rich, amber-gold pools of maple syrup collecting at the base of the plate, using soft gradients and crisp negative space to show reflection and depth.
Thick-Cut Bread Shadows: Techniques for rendering the massive, blocky dimension of gourmet brioche slices, using deep earth tones and soft cast shadows to create a realistic sense of height and volume.
Textured Fruit Toppings: Mastering the contrast between the matte, vibrant red skin of fresh strawberries and the smooth, creamy, opaque details of sliced bananas nestled together on top.
Powdered Sugar Detailing: Tips on using dry-brush white pigment to scatter fine, textured clusters of sugar across the caramelized crown of the toast without muddying the rich watercolor layers underneath.
🎨 The Marathon Journey:
Twenty-four days of continuous food illustration! Today’s study challenges our understanding of vertical composition and weight distribution. It is an amazing exercise in balancing warm, heavy bakery values with bright, fresh fruit accents to create a perfectly appetizing masterpiece.
🖌️ Materials Used:
Paper: 300gsm Cold Pressed Watercolor Paper for rich pigment pooling and excellent texturized feedback.
Paint: Professional-grade watercolors (leaning into Yellow Ochre, Burnt Umber, Permanent Red, and permanent white for the powdered sugar details).
Brushes: A medium round brush for building up the thick bread washes and a fine-point detail brush for the delicate strawberry seeds and sugar crystals.

Wonderful❤❤ can you tell me how to clean the watercolor mixing plate cause I wash it under the sink but this makes water go through the colors and destroy them
