Chef Rosheen Kaul and acclaimed bartender Joe Jones’s two-month residency in the former Altra Trattoria space, most recently home to Ragazzi, kicks off tomorrow. The menu focuses on Asian interpretation of French dishes, “but these things aren’t mushed together as, say, fusion things are,” says Kaul.
“We’ve got this sort of communal, comfortable nature with breaking the rules of things,” says Jones. “Some French food is really good with XO sauce in it, and some classic Italian cocktails are even better if you use sake.”
We dropped by to chat to Kaul and Jones about what they have planned.
