That’s f—king nasty. I can’t get down with the kaya toast, but the dipping in egg part is a no-no for me. We filipinos also use coconut jam but on toasted pan de sal bread which is way better than toasted white bread.
Your eggs are too raw, you can still see the transparent part. Try pouring boiling water over room temperature eggs, COVER IT and wait for 6-8 minutes depending on size of eggs. Immediately remove eggs from water and enjoy wonderfully half boiled eggs.
Toast is too thick… I really like those super thin ones from Ya Kun Kaya Toast… But I do like you adding that much butter… Wish Ya Kun would do that… 🤗

When the butter melts, that’s the best parttt
That egg is far too undercooked for me, I'm not a fan of raw albumen
Reminds me of soldiers strips.
Soy for seasoning and pepper for dipping is a choice
Kaya toast is the quintessential breakfast of Singapore and we have it with a cup of kopi/teh/milo 😊
this is originated from Malaysia.
Find something about Latvia
Papa New Guinea
"Cafes" (kopitiams) used to use thicker bread (sometimes called Hainanese toast), but now more of them just use regular white bread
Man those aren't soft-boiled eggs those are still raw eggs
The eggs could’ve cooked a tad longer but aside from that it looks pretty good 🤤 a side of hot kopi would perfectly pair this dish
Italy, and the choice is huge.
Personally I think the most classic Italian sandwich is:
-Prosciutto Cotto
-Fresh mozzarella
-"cuore ligure" tomato
-calvé mayonnaise.
Either put into focaccia or (my personal favorite) fresh ciabatta bread.
those eggs! I couldn't.
Make that butter into cheese and it could be great
wait till you try the ones with pandan in it
Somehow, having heard of kaya toast, seeing it made makes it more confusing to me, rather than less.
Indonesia, if you haven't done it already!
its meant to be white pepper but close enough
Condiments: White Pepper, Light Soy, Dark Soy
Those eggs are raw, I feel bad for Singapore

It's like an inverted, deconstructed egg and cheese sandwich…
Those eggs about to start clucking 😭

I have never seen a sandwich like this before. Exciting!
Pandan is gorgeous too
If you’re making half boiled eggs again use chinese dark soy sauce instead! It’s much less salty than light soy sauce
I absolutely love this. Pure heaven.
Gotta be white pepper la!
You know ball
That bread ain’t the right one
That is malaysian.
Everything about this is awful

Singapore and Malaysia
This is probably the only unappetising thing I've ever seen come out of Singapore

Kaya Toast… from Singapore??? You do know the word “Kaya” is a Malaysian word no?

Looks ok, but wrong bread. Best is yakun type, brown bread sliced thin and toasted over charcoal.
