what to do with this space? it's our living/play/ dining room. struggling with open floor concept.
was thinking of adding a rug that ends where you see the black line in the picture.
be kind! I'm so it of my element and feeling really frustrated. was thinking of a nicer way to hide toddler your top toys??

Put the playroom in the back. 3 walls, contained. Define the play area with a fun rug.
The sitting room and the piano go more together.
Have a place for music storage, and one comfy seat for listening.
The middle between the two spaces needs to be almost like an entrance so you could put a round foyer type table there with flowers in a vase or some sort of decor on the table and then the space is to the left or right of that need to be separated by area rugs. I would also split your sectional into two separate pieces, one of which has its back to the round foyer table area.
