First, fix the chipped corner, then place a delicate tray on it, along with two beautiful bottles of wine and several crystal glasses.

that eucalyptus is actually nice but maybe try grouping things in odd numbers instead – like add one more small plant or move the frame somewhere else. the corner feels a bit empty below because everything is sitting on top of the shelf. maybe hang something at wall or add a tall floor plant in the corner to fill the vertical space better. i deal with similar issues when designing outdoor spaces and usually the problem is not having enough layers at different heights

Looks built for a lamp to plug in there and/or use as a “charging station” … if you can fix the damaged corner, get a lamp large enough to hide the outlet, and put a trailing plant llike a philodendron there I think you will like it better. Try for color accessories (the pot for the plant and the lamp and shade with some colors instead of white and it will help it look less “batched together to hide the outlet” and more intentionally designed.

Can you paint it? If not, can you find a flush wood board to put on the “shelf” space?
