Montmartre is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Paris… but also one of the trickiest when it comes to finding a good restaurant.
In this video, I’m reviewing Ose, a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant located just a few minutes from Abbesses metro station.
The Bib Gourmand, awarded by the Michelin Guide, highlights restaurants that offer very good food at a reasonable price—so expectations are quite high, especially in an area like Montmartre.
So, is Ose a true hidden gem… or just another overhyped spot?
Let’s find out.
📍 Location
Rue Durantin, Paris (3 minutes walk from Abbesses – Line 12)
🍽️ What I tried
Sea bream tartare with beetroot, radish and cucumber
Cod with mushrooms, cabbage and celery
Duck breast with broccoli and mushrooms
Chocolate crémeux with roasted apple and crumble
💶 Price
€48 for a starter, main and dessert
€68 for the full tasting menu
€120 for two people with wine
⭐ Verdict
17/20 – Excellent bistronomic food, very good wines, and friendly service, with no real downsides.

I LOVED Montmartre when I visited. You can really get the sense of history and culture of the place. Yes it's touristy, but the interactions you have with the locals, make it a fabulous place to visit. Got some lovely souvenirs there too. Merci Alain for this one. I'll have to try it when I revisit.
As an American I would not classify this restaurant as touristy. Two reasons. Menu in all French and very limited options. Do you agree?❤
💙💙💙
Excellent video thank you
Only one Bordeaux red?
That looked amazing. I love duck breast.
Thank you for taking the time showing the full wine list…
Outstanding!
I love your channel ❤thank you so much!
Yess more Montmare restaurant pleaseee
I have actually eaten in quite a few tourist restaurants in Montmartre and they haven't been too bad. Maybe because I came as tour guide with a group and they wouldn't serve us bad food because they'd lost us. Swedish company had at least one group there every week in season. (April- October.) BUT that was more than 20 years ago. 1985-2005. Things change. Restaurants too. New owners etc.
Encouraging review, and it's on my list to try, but after so many bad Montmartre experiences over the years, its may be a while…
We had dinner in Montmartre exactly one month ago. Based on our guide's advice, we chose a noted family restaurant adjacent to the basilica (I won't mention the restaurant's name).
My steak was supposed to be medium-well, but it was served "blue" (warmed up, but essentially uncooked). As I'm flexible, I didn't bother to complain.
Thanks for another great video..,OMG !!! I almost jumped into my computer screen !!! That duck breast looked amazing !!! ❤
It used to bé a family from Auvergne who ran a restau there in the 70's, 80's,early 90's. I remember their tripe au Calvados and the WC with a toilette turque you had to access through the kitchen in the courtyard
My dream bistro. Beautiful food! Merci.
Thank you for this, it looks very inviting – the dessert alone will get me there. I love Paris restaurants with chalkboards and no English translations – it makes me feel more in tune with the city (Le Train Bleu is forgiven!). I don't think I heard many English or American voices. Am I a snob? Xx
I went to Ose in January 2024. The pâté en croûte was probably one of the best dishes I had during that trip (which is saying much: I was there for 3 weeks and ate very well!)
Alain, for a small establishment, the wine list is a knockout.
