Help choose a paint color

My husband and I are in the process of purchasing a home we’ve rented for the last 6 years. Many updates need to be done, so new flooring, cabinets and trim will have to be put off for at least a year. Please help us pick a paint color to harmonize the floors and honey oak wood throughout the house. The paint on the walls now is kind of a muted gray that we don’t really love and it was so poorly done that it chips very easily
