I’ve had an ongoing home renovation for about 4 years now. We are finally close to finishing our basement & are now choosing floor tile. The tile at the bottom of my stairs is what we used on the basement bathroom floor, but when I set the tile in this location to visualize it, I thought it looked a bit out of place when looking at it from my front entrance. Another thought is will this tile look good against the red brick wall in my basement family room (in another photo). The basement tile will lead into the basement family room where it will meet with a light colored neutral beige carpet, then tile will begin again near my fireplace & exterior door (see photos).
Am I overthinking it? Will this tile actually look okay in both areas?
I added some pictures of tile I found at the Home Depot that I *think* may look better, but again- not sure which tile would look good against the entrance wood & tile flooring while also looking good against the brick wall. Furthermore, if none of these work, would any of the wood-look tile look good against my real-wood flooring?
If none of these work & you have other suggestions, please feel free to share links for products that can be bought in the U.S.
Please help! This is my forever home & Ive since hand picked every detail with a lot of thought and I’m very pleased so far, Id hate to screw that up with the wrong basement tile. Ive been learning color theory & all that for the past few years but it still hangs me up sometimes because I don’t think it comes natural to me.

I think what’s throwing you off is the tile is the only “updated” element you’re seeing now. I would ‘mock up’ the area down there to be as close to the future IRL conditions as possible: paint that back wall beige (and what about the side wall??), change the lightbulb color if that’s something you plan to do, are the stair treads staying as is?, etc.
Once you can see the tile IRL conditions, you can better assess its color.
Without seeing all that mocked up, my gut feelings about the 3 new ones you’re considering: no to gray (too cold), no to dark brown (too dark), no to the patterned tile (it’ll compete with the entrance hex tile).
