This is a classic New Orleans Bread Pudding with a Bourbon Sauce and Spiced Whip Cream.

INGREDIENTS

teaspoon unsalted butter
large eggs
firmly packed light brown sugar
ground cinnamon
freshly grated nutmeg
pure vanilla extract
Bourbon
half-and-half
8 slices day-old French bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (about 4 cups)
raisins, or more if desired
Sprigs fresh mint, for garnish (optional)
Shaker confectioners’ sugar, for serving

heavy cream
