Hi I’m Siân-Amy, and I’m going to spend a couple of minutes telling you about these 7 things at the Sofitel, what I think is our most luxurious hotel at Gatwick.
1. This package includes meet & greet parking. Drop your car and your keys with your driver outside the hotel. They’ll move your car to their secured car park while you’re away. Stay overnight at the hotel, then the next morning, it’s a 3 minute walk into the North Terminal, which the Sofitel is connected to by an exclusive indoor walkway.
If you’re flying from the South Terminal, use the walkway, then take the free 2 minute monorail. And when you’re back, they’ll deliver your car to you outside the terminal.
2. The bedrooms are all spacious and soundproof with triple glazed windows. I’d recommend requesting a room with a runway view when you check in.
3. Wifi is free everywhere in the hotel.
4. The Sofitel has 3 restaurants and 2 bars. We think a 2 course meal at the informal Urban Cafe is really good value. It’s £17.95 per person if you book it in advance with us, which is less than you’d normally pay for one course on the day.
The award winning La Brasserie serves French gourmet dishes, and Vanda restaurant serves Asian dishes. I’d suggest grabbing a cocktail at Kua bar, or a glass of wine at La Terrase.
5. Breakfast is a Full English and continental buffet. It’s £18 per person and you can eat as much as you like, including eggs made to order.
6. Lastly, the free gym is open 24 hours.
7. So that’s all the need-to-know stuff, but here are our tips for getting the most out of your booking.
The Sofitel’s restaurants are really popular and can get quite busy, so I’d recommend booking your table as soon as you check in.
Rather than waiting around at the airport, you could check in your luggage at the terminal, then walk back to the hotel for breakfast.
