  1. Bonjour et merci ! je connais très bien la région pour y avoir habité 6 ans, il y a aussi la CHARENTE comme la Roche Foucauld

  2. Impressed at all of these towns, restaurants and hotel rooms. The off season prices for rooms, especially that one with the private balcony, wow! ❤🎉

  3. So excited you visited La Table D’Ezra in Sarlat. We spent two months in the Dordogne and it was our favorite restaurant. You will love the Bergerac wine region. Make sure to visit Vigneron des Verdots.

  4. Please try and go visit St. Paul de Vence, it’s a place where you can immerse yourself in French culture with restaurants and art galleries. But you must go out of season otherwise you’ll be crowded out.

  5. because of your videos, me and my family visited the Dordogne region and when were planning our next trip, I want to visit that area again!

  6. Wonderful video. If you don't have a car, it would be helpful to know how you get there by public transport once you reach the nearest airports. Thanks to anyone who can help.

  7. This was a delightful video. It was so nice to see you two wander around and discover towns at your own pace. You saw Lascaux!!! Oh. My. Goodness. That is one place that I have always dreamt of seeing.

  8. We spent five days in Sarlat in the spring of 2024. It was lovely. We timed the trip so we would be in Sarlat for the Saturday market. Many great day trips in our rental car.

  9. I've had an Eyewitness Travel guide featuring Dordogne on my coffee table for the past few months, fantasizing about my next trip to France. So I was delighted to see your video. I absolutely cannot wait to see it in person!

  10. Have you read novels by Martin Walker which take place in the Dordogne? There are 19 books in the series with Bruno, the Chief of Police. "he investigates local crimes while balancing community life, traditional French cuisine, and personal relationships".

  11. Bonjour, You have been helpful to opening up various areas of France for us to view. Two recommendations- Oradour-Sur-Glane. This is the martyred village that was left in ruins by the Germans in 1944 and left as is ever since. It is considered one of the most powerful sites in France. Second…how about a trip to the Cognac region, followed by a trip to the west course Rohan and La Rochelle. Thanks and keep up the great work.

  12. Ive lived in both areas (and a few others).
Dordogne is nice but it doesnt beat the Riviera.
Ive always said Dordogne us manicured, nicest place on the eye but living there, places are so far apart, roads are quieter though.
    Its good value for money.

  13. The Dordogne région is truly spectacular….I visited once, then brought my bags and stayed here.
You’ll also love the Bergeracois and it’s vineyards…
Another plus for those who come here: you could pair your visit with a day or two and see Bordeaux and Saint Emilion.
    🍷 🥂🍾 cheers!
