  1. I want to see Blondie and Frenchie do a podcast… Brian is optional (to be honest I'd like to see one with just B and F and another with all three of them together

  2. Damn y’all got blasted by PBS of all places, glad it’s back up but that shit pissed me off man I was right in the beginning of it and then YouTube told me to go fuck myself lol

  3. Plain simple gold wedding bands were considered the ideal for BOTH men and women until fairly recently, as they were supposed to be an identical matched set and it more obviously shows the originally intended symbolism of “forever” in that an unadorned ring has no clear start or end and gold does not corrode (under normal conditions you find outside of a lab on Earth at least).

  4. Thank you for the PSA at 45:00 Brian, that shit is fun, smells great, and will ruin your god damned life. Best to stay away from it.

  5. I wanted to watch this so badly, but it was blocked for a while by PBS. I had to download Spotify to watch it the other day. Liked, subscribed, commented.

  6. I while back, when the child was only 8 or so, she asked me what life was like before there was color – in the world. Reminds me of https://youtu.be/OkoCdi8I-dc?si=n0IVt-DPeahoosG4&t=2028 Just like that. She was so innocent that she took B&W movies to show what the world was like in the long ago. So touching from a child.

Crap – my families first TV was B&W. Color cost too much. Now I feel really old.

  7. My mother and grandmother had rings similar to Julia's. Their husbands didn't come from families who could afford a diamond engagement ring, so they just had wedding bands. My mother was born in the same decade as Julia, it could be just that jewelry tastes have changed over the years.

  8. I love how that gal just ignored Korean movies. I saw some pretty good ones (and one dumb but entertaining one) in a class back in the early 2000s, and I'm sure they've had other quality stuff on either side of that timeframe.

  9. I went to La Rivage last night by myself after htting a bar with friends. i sat at the bar and had the french onion soup and the orange duck. it was great. and Tommy talked some shit 🙂

  10. i luckily have the attention span to watch it in black and white despite being gen z 🔥

  11. Knife guy here:
So what you guys just described about sharpening with the straightening rod (ie steel honing rod) and the microscopic teeth is kind of the old school wisdom from back in the day. It doesnt really stand up to scrutiny and today we know a lot more about sharpening/honing etc. 1st, there are really no teeth in the way that you described. The is some height irregularity when you look under a microscope but definitely no 'teeth' or micro-serrations etc. 2nd The honing rod does not straighten the edge and actually DOES sharpen. The way it works is that by going at a higher angle than the sharpening angle of your knife adge you put massive pressure on the very last put of the edge that then gets worn away leaving a micro-bevel. This method of metal removal is called adhesive wear, where normally you sharpen through abrasive wear. That method is known to work better on softer steels (like classic Sabatier brands at 54 HRC) but will work to a degree on any steel.
Honestly these facts really don't change how you should use those tools or maintain your knife. For functional use it doesnt matter

  12. I had made onion soup with different varieties of onions…….shallots, pearl onions, leeks, brown & sweet onions…….minus the cheese & bread slices.

The butter…. chefs kiss….I added plenty of it with veggie stock with good amount of salt & herbs such as fresh bay leaves with thyme. My mum loved it & I was pleased 😀
