Hey all! Looking for advice on what to do with this super random shelf in the corner of our new apartment. My wife already has her vanity set up in the second bedroom so that isn’t needed. Any and all crazy ideas are welcomed, don’t want to just leave it like this!

that corner is begging for a small plant collection or some kind of display situation, like floating some books or vintage objects there instead of just leaving it blank, could be a whole vibe if you lean into it.
If by front door, shoes and jackets! Or a large vase with a plant. Could use it as a “getting on my shoes” seat? Could also stack something on it like an organizer or something. Idk! Maybe there’s a clogged up space somewhere else in your apartment and you could move some of that clutter to this corner? Interested in the outcome!
Looks like it’s near the front door. Maybe use it as a nook for that kinda stuff. A lamp, bowl for your keys. A plant. Picture on the wall. Small stool underneath for sitting while you put your shoes on.

Is that the front door because then this is probably to put stuff on top like your bag or keys and possibly shoes underneath? If you own the apartment you can take that out and put bifold doors and use it as a closet.
That random counter would be perfect for a baby’s change table if you’re planning to have children. It could also just be a desk area although the granite is a bit weird for that. I wonder what the last owner used it for.

Coat hooks and a basket for keys etc.
A tucked in place to sit and put on your boots.
Perfect spot for a bar / cocktail station. Put a small fridge underneath, hang a large mirror on wall with a sconce over. Get a nice tray, glasses, ice bucket, cocktail shaker etc 🥃🍷🍸🍹🍻🥂
