Grape(s): Tempranillo.
Aging: “Minimum” 3 Mo American (50%) and French (50%) oak barrels aging.
Alc by Vol: 14%.
Color: Dark crimson core, and fuchsia/ruby edges.
Aromas: Oak and alcohol.
Attack: Medium acidity, smooth.
Mid-Palate: medium texture, medium fruit, odd flavor and sensation.
Finish: Medium-short length, alcoholic, with some tannin.
Cost: 6.64€/750 ml, Alcampo supermarket.
*=Non-Vintage. The 2023 vintage was displayed in the D.O. strip on the back. However, a wine without a vintage prominently shown on the front label or neck is to me personally suspect.

Overall: I can´t say that I like, or disliked the wine. I am not much into alcoholic aromas and tasting wines, like this one. It seems to be a trend these days, looks like, unfortunately. Perhaps I have a wine snob´s palate… Importantly was the odd flavor and texture sensed in the mid palate. It wasn´t chemical, or pleasant, or unpleasant, but just very odd/unexpected. The odd texture popped up suddenly, and just as suddenly was gone. It was like almost oily/greasy? Odd… just plain odd… as well. Conclusion: I will not buy this wine again.
