We bought a very outdated house, but really love it so much-including some of the outdated things.
I have very opposing likes. Our downstairs living room is painted black and dark purple, with a gothic feel. We call it our dungeon. But I love dopamine decorating too, so we decided the main floor dining and kitchen would be that space for us and painted it yellow (English daisy)
Now I can’t decide what colors would look best for the entry way and the wall closing off the dining room and going up stairs
Part of me thinks a light sage green, a dark forest green, lavender idk. We originally wanted orange but I’m afraid it would look too 70s with the wood and staircase posts
Please ignore the mess, lol. I have adhd so when I paint I have to focus only on that or it will take weeks 🤣

Bring in the groove without too much 70s but still cohesive with the obviouuuusss style of the house
The dino book gives you ideas then? (actually green would look good, maybe even chartreuse which is kinda like that book cover’s green). Obviously okay with brights and that would be bright! The 70s were interesting too but that daisy yellow looks more 60s. A lot of directions you could lean toward there.
Golden wood bounces beautifully off green to blue to violet colors, as dark or light as you want. Medium slightly neutralized bluish violet was a Pantone color a fee years ago that would be amazing here.
