A record 545 migrants arrived in the UK via small boats on Wednesday, the busiest Channel crossing day of 2026. Ten boats brought people ashore, nearly doubling February arrivals to over 1,000 and bringing the year’s total to 2,149.
Smugglers exploited a break in poor weather to resume launches, pushing numbers slightly above last year’s arrivals at the same point.

While this influx of illegal migration is going on why don't they stop the legal migration to stem an unaffordable population increase (bearing in mind we have high unemployment).
