There are several flaws in our floor plan but nothing we can change at this point. I’m having trouble with our living/kitchen area. We’re wanting to make an island work because this would be our dining space. I don’t have an actual floor plan to show but will do my best here. Yellow area will be wall cabinets (upper & lower). Proposed island is 8ft by 36 inches. Walk way between is 43inch. Ideally I know it’s 48. Walk way between island and furniture into living area is 36inches. Again, we’d love more room but this is where I’m having trouble. Red would be couch. Green would be tv. Two folding chairs represent recliners/chairs. I know we aren’t utilizing under the stairs but I’m just stumped on how. I am not a very visual person so nothing seems to flow well in my head. Any suggestions on a layout that would work better?
Put TV under stairs on console and move couch to the tv wall?
