Now that takes me way back. My mum made flapjack when I was young. 60s-70s. I can still smell the golden syrup. ❤🐨
I’ve seen golden syrup often here in Ontario, Canada but I’ve never tried it. I will put that on my shopping list and make this next week! ❤🇨🇦

My favourite as a child. So good.
It's very similar to a bar cookie. I love them. They are crispy on the top and chewy at the center. To me the perfect treat. I'll look for the golden syrup. I've never had it.❤️🤍💙

My mum used to make golden syrup dumplings, especially after a Sunday roast dinner
