I am at a total loss of what I want to do with this living room. I hate the TV on the fireplace mantle, but I see no other place to put it. I just know it’s gotta move. The door in the second picture is our front door that is only opened to check mail and bring in packages, but I don’t want to crowd that area any more than it already is with the record player. If I were to get an entertainment stand to block the fireplace, it would need to be so far forward because of the tile/lip that is in front of it.
The goal is eventually new couch new coffee table new everything, but right now my biggest/main concern is the TV. Also please ignore the boxes around the small shelf, it is the temporary barricade I have set up to stop my kitten from climbing it (which is another reason I need to figure out this TV situation, the barrier isn’t cutting it anymore)
Sorry if this post is too word vomity, I am open to any and all suggestions! TV is 55” for reference

I think you need a smaller couch so you can move it off the wall, have the back of the couch towards the door and the tv on an entertainment stand near the windows. I’m not sure if the space is big enough, but ideally there would be room in front of and behind the couch to walk!
Have you thought of switching dining room and living room?
Leave it where it is. This room doesn’t leave you a lot of sensible options.
You could get one of those cumbersome mounts that pulls the tv down lower if it’s that big of an issue for you.
