It depends on what other colors will be in the room. Where is the hotel located? Ie: coast, mountains, dessert? My instinct tells me color rather than white, to hide bumps the wall will get. But, wall color is the last choice one should make as it needs to coordinate or complement the fabrics and artwork in the room.
