We are moving into a new home soon, and the previous owners have recently renovated the kitchen (and it is not in our current budget to do our own renovations anytime soon). The cabinets are a greenish-grey color, the floor is a builder grade travertine-ish tile, and the backsplash is a grey/white subway tile. It's … fine … but it's just too many clashing neutrals.
We want to add some color to this room – any suggestions? We were thinking a mauve/cinnamon slate to add some warmth, but unsure if that would be too intense for a kitchen.
We will be filling the kitchen with a bunch of plants, and will also have these light brown/mustard counter stools. The windows are west-facing.
Thanks in advance!
