This weeks news items are a warning of impending diseases. Some local. Some possibly global.

On a global scale we have the distinct possibility of a new viral pandemic. This time it is Nipah virus. Unlike influenza, COVID 19, and other diseases Nipah virus has a very high mortality rate. Up to 75 per cent.

We also have to worry about amoebas. Brain eating amoebas. They are becoming more common as climate change progressively makes more of the world warmer. Warm enough that amoebas are growing in more water that people drink, shower in and use to wash their clothes.

In less terrible news for most French wine makers will be struggling to get organic grapes soon. The vintners will be unable to use a copper based fungicide. The fungicide being the only truly widely used and effective option. Now French vintners can’t use the copper fungicide and will struggle to produce grapes for wine production.

Of wine is not to your interest there is the AI social media system that now exists. Individual Ai systems that talk about you behind your back. This may sound crazy but its real.
