I think it looks nice too! At the end of the day you can do things to your tastes. If anything it’s a bit of a risk to get *too* trendy because what’s super hot now will be considered dated in 10 years (or less with microtrends being what they are). If you like it, and it’s your house, just do it. Always take into consideration maintenance or resell value but otherwise you don’t HAVE to do what everyone else wants.

I think you should feel confident in your choices, and let the other people struggle with not liking it. Chances are those other people don’t appreciate classic beauty. They probably like trendy things that will be out of favor soon. They will always be chasing the next popular thing without ever stopping to figure out what they actually like.
