My husband picked the sweetest little bakery for our Saturday morning treat: Mitten Sweets & Coffee in the First Hill neighborhood of Seattle.
This quaint bakery makes French and Japanese pastries plus coffee drinks. There were cakes, tarts, cookies, and pies here in flavors that were new to us. Everything looked so delicious that we had a hard time choosing what to order, but we decided on:
🔸 Kobocha Mont Blanc pie (very light and earthy; great crust)
🔸 Kyoto Matcha Cake (light with good matcha flavor)
🔸 Ube Tart (more dessert-like, but not too sweet)
We didn’t try coffee on this first visit, but we’re planning a second visit to try more pastries and coffee. This little bakery is a neighborhood gem and I’m glad we found it!
They also take advance orders for whole cakes and tarts.
