Whether you are making a cake for a birthday party, wedding, or just a general get-together, it is hard to go wrong with this traditional vanilla cake recipe. I think this the best vanilla cake recipe out there as it has a buttery and perfectly even crumb that holds up well on its own but will practically melt in your mouth when you take a bite. I’ve updated my vanilla cake recipe for an even more tender crumb and foolproof bake no matter what climate or season you’re in!

  1. Made this with my son. My other son said it is the best cake he's ever tasted. I told him c'mon it's not the best cake you've tasted. You're just saying that because we made it. Then I tasted it and I think I agree with him. Ours wasn't presented as nice as the video as we had a few hiccups, but for our 1st attempt. Amazeballs

  2. it was very very sweet, but also delicious. thank you for the recipe and the diabetes sugar bomb! :)😂 everyone loved it.

  5. Thanks for the recipe. I've tried couple of your items and they came out awesome. Gonna try this cake recipe for my daughter's b'day. Quick question- can I make this with self-raising flour? If so, what changes should I make to the original recipe?
    Thanks
