  1. You and I are weirdly in sync – probably solar flares. I've just come back to 'cafetiere' (french press) – I drank hectolitres of french press with mum over 4 decades – it's how my perception of coffee was programmed. I realised it's the complete taste of a bean – there's nowhere to hide – almost like cupping for the masses. For me it's 1:13, reasonably course, a bloom, and 5+ minutes – no more complicate than that
