Great review and looks amazing! I always drool over your steak from Flying Fish. How does it compare❤
Rib cap…Yes!!! It's that fatty tender ridge around the edge of a ribeye, I always buy ribeyes with the biggest edge
Your husband does really good video footage!!! 😍
I really appreciate you being honest with us and telling us that you paid for that meal but even if you didn’t pay for that meal, you should have returned that mac & cheese if it was un edible, you need to let them know who knows maybe somebody got sick and left the kitchen and didn’t taste it before they put it out. You gotta give the chef the opportunity to do right by you❤
Going to have to try the duck fat fries! My favorite one is the duck fat fries at Velvet Lounge at the Hard Rock Hotel
Great video. The ribeye cap is excellent and it isn't cheap to source to cook from home. The price isn't nuts for a restaurant but I wonder how many people have the palette to appreciate the taste versus similar not insanely priced cuts of meat. To me it is like wine, you can pay $10 to $2000 a bottle. Do you really have the palette to distinguish between $$20 a glass, versus $50 versus $100? Some do and more power to you but if you don't you are simply wasting money. I can't appreciate a $200 a pound steak.I would need to faint after eating it.
save the word "insane" for something more dramatic than french fries
Complimentary fry flight? Kristen left utterly speechless? That never happens! Looks insanely delicious! Then don’t get me started on the French onion soup! Enough said!
22:27 An accordion of well rendered intermuscular fat
9:13 When you were busy talking about Fries, the chef himself was standing behind you at the nearby table. Did he come and visit you? (I haven't finished the video yet, so I don't know)
kristen, my dear, what you ate was just the cap of a very thick cut ribeye. they just took the cap off the ribeye, cooked it, and served you that. looks great tho
This looks soooo good!!!
I really enjoy Kristen's post but I would guess she's a known critic to Disney and maybe they try harder for critics sometimes. She does get bad service sometimes and awful food at times, too.
Great Vlog! Your steak looked delicious! As well as the dessert!
Loved the honest review but my wife and I were shocked that you completely mispronounced “beveraaage” right from the start! 😊
Id never go out of my way to eat at his place or bc of prices BUT I give this place MAJOR PROPS for clearly going out of its way to be unique and top notch quality even just from watching this video
Can you go to the bar and get one of those fancy drinks?
I’ll take the soup and the steak for sure!
Great job with the format
Red Robin will give you free fries while you wait. Not bougee in duck fat fries but their fry sauce is pretty good. IJS. love the video's
I’ve never ordered a ribeye that didn’t have a cap…you just didn’t realize that’s what it is called. ALL of them have it. That restaurant was sooo loud. That would ruin it for me.
The food looks so good. It is going to be a must try on my next day trip.
I had the Lobster Pot Pie once at Mina's Fish House and it was AMAZING!! Thank you for this review. Bourbon Steak is now on my "to do" list.
Hey Kristin, not sure if you realized Michael Mina is in your video during your segment about the fries. He was greeting the couple behind you!
Shulas sold cigars. Does its replacement?
Looks good .
Anyone else notice the Don Shula look a like behind you 😂
It bothers me that the fries are not all the same height 😂
Ooohh! That looks amazing! I never made it to Shula's, so I can't compare, but I would love to try that soup and cheesecake!!
So upset to see Shula leave it was my favorite place to eat!! Steaks were perfection, and their soufflé was out of this world!! I can tell by this video there’s a lot of truffle which I’m allergic to. I do not see a soufflé and I’m noticing a lot of nuts and I’m allergic to tree nuts and peanut so I’m pretty sure this will not even make my list. I am so sad that he couldn’t have Shula’s one more time before it left. Thank you for making this video.
At 1:54 you said beverages instead of bev-ah-rah-jes and that makes me worried.
I love that the staff from Shula's was retained – many had been working there for a long time.
Your reviews are often not glowing, so its good to see a review where you loved the meal – it makes me think you are pretty balanced.
Your tastes are so similar to mine I’m putting this on a short list of where to eat Christmas dinner at
Rib cap is my favorite cut..if you like it..they often have USDA Prime rib cap steaks At Costco…there they wrap them into a spiral and tie it with string. For $95 you could get a pack of 4 of those. They are the bomb.
That rib cap cut of meat seems to be from Snake River Farms ("SRF" on the menu) in case you want to try some at home
Please go to Target and buy the Steak for $12 & air fry it. The steak is soooo delicious!!!
I have never had a good meal at Shula's so I am so excited it has changed hands. Now I need that Beef cap!
It’s a Picanha cut. Not sure if it is the lighting but MR is more pink reddish in the middle. I am glad you enjoyed.
Great review (as always). That American Wagyu ribeye cap is from Snake River Farms and retails for $64 on their website. So $95 at a restaurant is a decent deal.
I appreciate that you don't hold back when something is bad (like the mac-n-cheese) because it makes your gushing over the good stuff all the more believable!
Watching you eat that steak brings me so much joy!!!
We love a rib cap steak… Also the onion soup is making me want to get on a plane right now….
Very expensive but looks good. Thanks for review.
THAT'S ONION SOUP!
