We kayak camp 24 miles of the Buffalo National River. From Ponca to Pruitt, three days and two nights. No cell service, no backup plan, just the river and whatever we can carry. We drift through towering bluffs, camp on remote gravel bars, got caught in a storm, and live off what we pack in our kayaks.
Whether you’ve paddled the Buffalo before or just dream of going off grid, this is what it looks like to drift wild, unplug, and totally immerse yourself in the Ozarks.

Love the long videos! It's my new favorite movie night!
Great film! Just a question since there's no mention of a bear canister, do you need to consider they might enter your camp? I'm a hiker and would like to get into kayak hiking. That river looks like major fun.
I just watched your video. I saw your date on your phone shot. I was solo backpacking the BRT that same time May 20-22. I was camped at Erbie the night you were at big bluff. There was a strong storm on 19th that blew over lots of trees. Many down along the trail. Highway was blocked between Ponca and Boxley by downed when I started on the 20th. Had to start at Ponca hiking to Pruitt. Went back and did Boxley to Pruitt end of the week. Great time. Love you videos.
Ok – this was epic! I loved this video! As a teenager, I floated the Buffalo River every summer with our youth group. There’s just nothing like it. Thanks for taking us along and bringing back all those old memories. 😊
Very interesting ❤
LIFE JACKETS….. PFD WORN, NOBODY MOURNS
Me again, I meant kayak camping
Fully entertained! We love your Arkansas series!
I’ve lost a couple of fishing rigs while kayaking until I tied a large float onto the handle. Now when it inevitably goes in the handle floats up and the high visibility float/bobber makes it possible to grab.
What a peaceful and raw journey through nature! Your three-day kayak camping trip felt like a quiet escape into the wild. The simplicity, the silence, and the connection to the river were beautifully shared. Thank you for letting us drift with you.
And I am ADAM Travel Explore — sharing the charm of Vietnamese markets with the world.
Cody, love your happy, caring, & positive attitude. Kellie, just keep calm & relax. Smile. Cody's got you!
This was a great episode. I enjoyed it very much. Changes around every corner.
First time watching. Made it through. I loved it. Thanks guys.
Awesome, love the longer videos!
I'm enjoying every second… that chicken and dumplings looked decent, especially for a just add water meal and rhe scenery is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for great content. Great video❤
It was great to get to paddle the Buffalo with y'all! I don't want to think how many years it's been since I got to do that. Chair tip: look for either wide bases on the legs or a 'sand mat" that attaches to the legs and disperses the weight to keep from sinking in. Thanks for a great time! Hugs, Jules ❤
Absolutely loved this video..the beautiful peace of nature. Your surroundings and tent and delicious looking meals and coffee, the sounds of water etc made this one of my favorite videos. Just sooo cozy. My gosh thank you for taking thousands of us on this trip with you. Wonderful hosts and gorgeous couple ❤😊
Loved the trip! Was fun ,🤩.
THIS video and kellies cooking…such cozy vibes and why i love this channel. ❤
What a wonderful kayaking camping journey 🚣🏻🚣🏻♀️📷☕🍲🫕🔥🏕️
First of all I want to say to Cody losing your ugly stik I lost one in the lake one time and my mom lived there in a year later I found it it took me that long to find it in a calm lake but it happens to every fisherman. Also I wanted to say thank you for making these long videos of the river and paddling here because I want to do it so badly before I die I'm getting up in age and it really helps me to you know see what's up
Of course i have made it this far into the video and i have been fully entertained!! It is beautiful and i wish i was there!
you have completly keeped me entertained but the grits looked a little gross
Kellie said that everyone is allergic to poison ivy/oak, but I never have been. Can literally rub it on my skin and not have any effect. Some friends and me are planning an overnight trip on the Buffalo from Steel Creek to Pruitt later this year. Looking forward to seeing all these incredible sights. Great video as always
Great, fun video. Never having been to Arkansas, I am continually amazed by the beauty you are showing us on these trios in your state. Love the scenery. Love you two as a loving couple with such an adventurous spirit. Thank you for the videos.
When you had the original video on Buffalo National River, my wife and I decided to go there. Follow you both. You are such an inspiration. We have been hooked on hiking and exploring the ozarks.
Tom & Jeanette
Love your videos, sure a lot of kayakers watch them be awesome to see some videos of areas you put in and take out leaving your vehicle always look forward to your next kayaking video
Enjoyed it !
more of this please!!! but I will say this…. I don't like that you all don't wear life jackets. You guys have a huge following; you need to be an example of safety. you're running some fairly serious water on this one. something like 75% of kayak deaths are folks not wearing lifejackets. Otherwise this was a great trip!
Local Arkansas Peeps here !! ❤ We are so blessed to have such a beautiful river to enjoy ! We try to do a float trip once a year up there ! Keep the vibes high my friends ❤great videos !
Y’all should do a collab with other YouTubers like Kelly Hays Hikes and Cole and Jay.
Great video.
👍
