  1. Le repas en famille est une vraie "religion" en France. Et la mère est toujours au centre. Tu peux voir quelle famille se porte bien: lorsque Maman crie "A table!" ou "c'est prêt!"

  2. 6:30 – Usually most school have decent food. But some are not so lucky, especially in the Nord, where food culture is not really at the level of French reputation. Also, it depends of the kitchen team quality. In all my school years, food was always good in Bordeaux. It was not gourmet, but far ahead of what they have in some countries, like the usa for exemple ; a basic entrée, a main dish, cheese, bread and a desert. And if we were lucky, at the end of the service, someone from the personnel would yell: "Il y a du rabe" – witch means that there is a surplus of food and the last served students rush to get extra food :')

  4. As a french, i must say in the video, they dont eat escargots, must be too expensive for a school, it was whelk. It's sea food.

  5. This video doesn't reflect reality. School cafeterias in France are still school cafeterias.
Of course, they can only be better than American cafeterias.
First of all, they only serve healthy products, meaning natural ones, not stuffed with chemicals, sugar, colorings, and additives intended to mask the extremely poor quality of the food.

  6. There is not a great quality everywhere, it depends on the city but also on the school. I went to two different high schools in the same city and the food was much better in the second one than in the first one, on the other hand they asked a little more for each meal (from memory I think it was €1.50 more per day)

  7. in 14:48 they're not snails but bulots! ah when you eat crap like mc'do (short for mac donald's in France) you don't know a thing about cooking…
Sorry to be aggressive but it's the sad truth, ask a child in France to tell the difference between an escargot and a bulot, I think they'll tell you “fruit de mer” for the Bulot…from France

  8. le role d'une ecole n'est ni de nourrir la racaille ni de dicter aux honnetes gens ce que leurs enfants doivent manger !

  9. 😂Being French, I have to tell the truth. I'm sorry, but you're reacting to an old documentary that dates back to the past. In reality, not all school canteens operate like that.

  10. I'm a bit older 👴 and originally from northern France 🇫🇷.
It's true—French student meals 🍽️ can be pretty surprising 😲 for people from other countries 🌍.
I remember back in elementary school 🏫, high school 🎓, and even college 🎒, I always ate really well 😋.
Lunchtime 🕛 was honestly my favorite part of the day because the food was always amazing 🤤.
The only downside? Fridays were fish days 🐟, and I just couldn't stand it 🤢!
