  1. Profite bien de Paris ! Try the Quatre heures bakery in Ménilmontant for excellent cookies 😊

  2. Bakeries & pastry shops : The French Bastards, Maison Aleph, Tomo, Bo et Mie, ice-cream shop : Folderol, sea food restaurant: Caché, Spanish tapas : Amagat, Italian restaurant: Giorgio, ramen : Kodawari, French cuisine : des Terres. Sharing my fave places in Paris 🇫🇷🥖

  3. You need to go to Petite lle boulangerie!! We went 2 months ago and it’s so good, unique flavours and your classic ones too, so well done. Go early, it sells out of most things by the afternoon

  4. I feel like paris has so many good bakeries that it doesn’t make sense to line up for one, especially for just basic pastries.

  5. Often the problem with Europe is finding the legit stuff that’s substantially better than what you can get in a large city in the US. Don’t get me wrong — you can get amazing stuff that I don’t think you can find anywhere here — but it isn’t always easy.

Still looks good. But I’d honestly bet you can find the same or better at a bakery in NYC.

I’ve spent a decent amount of time in Italy due to long business trips. Every time we look things up, it’s always not all that great. When we wander randomly, or get a local to point us in a direction, that’s when we find the amazing stuff.

Go figure. I think the recommendation algorithms are broken for Europe. Or their influencers are slacking? Dunno.

  6. You should go to Le Malibu – it's this African restaurant that has the most amazing chicken (poulet braisé) with the most insane sauces with rice and plantain. It's soooo good, it's a local institution in the 2nd on rue tiquetonne

  7. Oh and Jacques Genin for a classic Paris-Brest (you have to go early because it sells out) plus their pates de fruit and caramels and the Praluline (a brioche with pralines) from Maison Pralus

  8. If I can recommend some Parisian bakeries to try, I would go for MieMie, Milligramme and MaMi Deli ❤
Unfortunately Mamiche has probably been impacted badly by their reputation and became recently less "fresh" also as you tasted
