Hi Doc we loved the flight vlog from Paris to St Martin on Air France A330. I have flown Air France from Atlanta (ATL) to Paris (CDG) in the past. It was a great experience. No I have never been a nervous flyer so flying over the ocean doesn’t bother me. I find the most enjoyable flights are new airline pilots fresh out of the military 😂 The most exciting flight in my life was flying Delta out of Jackson, MS (JAN) years ago. I knew it was going to be a great flight when the aircraft was rapidly loping to the runway. Then he gave the engines an amazing run up as we turned onto the runway 😂 then we were going down the runway at full throttle and when we took off we went almost straight up like lightening without stalling 😂 EVERYONE on the plane was screaming but me 😂 it was the most amazing experience ❤ I think the only thing better would be an F18 or Space Shuttle takeoff 😂 when we landed we came in hot and when I say hot I mean HOT like landing on an aircraft carrier 😂 once again everyone was screaming but me 😂 when we deplaned I told him thanks for the great flight and that it was the most amazing flight I had ever been on 😂 he was grinning from ear to ear. I hope he didn’t get in trouble because I’m sure Delta got some calls 😂 Have a wonderful weekend 👍❤️😎👋 oh yes and we arrived early 😂
While the cabin interior looks very nice, I still maintain that all business class passengers should have direct access to the aisle. I would have thought that you would have had access to the lounge as well, which is disappointing in light of the premium business passengers pay. I remember back in 2014, siting in a small boat in the middle of the lagoon to the right of the runway at St Maarten watching a KLM 747 leaving. It is still the best view of any plane taking off that I have ever experienced. Happy memories!
Personnellement je trouve que pour une classe affaires c'est vraiment light!
Présentation du repas minimaliste également, pas très représentatif de la nourriture française.
Intimité réduite au minimum là aussi.
I Have Experience Air France Worst Business Class Seats To Sint Martin.Great Video And Info
every business class passengers must have access to airport lounge.
I Am Not A Nervous Flyer And Have No Problemes Flying Over The Ocean
The interior looks worn.
I’m with you LTE, I don’t like flying over the ocean but just look at where you are going, it’s all worth it in the end 😊 Thank you for another great video 😊
I don't particularly enjoy flying either, and it used to bother me immensely to have to fly over the Atlantic Ocean on a frequent basis from North America to Europe and back. That said, the experience of traversing such a seemingly insurmountable physical obstacle is the closest thing we have to magic right now, so I try to enjoy the ride. Flying business or first helps too. 🙂
Your flight videos always hit different! The way you capture every little detail makes it feel like I’m right there with you. This Air France Business Class trip looks like a dream, great vibes, amazing views, and top-tier comfort. Appreciate you sharing this!👏😊🚀
just a little further south and you reach my twin isle state of Trinidad & Tobago…home to sweet calypso/soca music and to Caribbean airlines..
Another beautiful video today ❤😊🎉
I'm a nervous flyer too!❤😢🎉
I flew air France first class once years ago ❤😊🎉
Great video this week LTE ❤😊🎉I hope you have a lovely rest of your week 😊 thank you for the video ❤😊🎉
Thank you for making this video ❤😊🎉
I like all your videos too❤😊🎉
St barts resorts here we go! Wondering which of the three you would recommend to stay
old config! little privacy. no champagne before?
same old config as with KLM. Catering seems disappointing, even in BC…
I wonder also, would you come here to Chile? We do have a lot of luxury resorts through the country… some also very unique! For example Casa Molle, an all inclusive and luxury oasis resort in Valle del elqui (one of the best places on earth to watch the stars), could also recommend Tierra Atacama, Tierra Patagonia or Tierra Chiloe, could also check out Nayara Atacama, love the design of that one, could also check out Explora Patagonia, Explora Rapa Nui located in easter island or you can also check out one of the few if not the only andbeyond hotel in South America, andbeyond Vira Vira which is also a very good one. Every single resort I named is luxury btw… can also check out the first and only mandarin oriental in South America, Mandarin Oriental Santiago and also the only ritz Carlton in South America, Ritz Carlton Santiago… Chile has everything in terms of landscape, from the driest desert on earth, to the wonderful glaciers in the Patagonia and south of Chile 🙂
Fun to watch the plane's shadow flying beside you! 😊 Seeing all the boats anchored on the water is always an enjoyable experience!! No nerves, here. One would think you'd have grown used to it by now, dear LTE!! I usually pass the time reading … Happy trails!
I'm more concerned with crazy and crowded airplanes than flying over the ocean 🙂
Nice review! How much did you pay for this flight- either cash or miles? Keep up the great work 🙂
I thought hijab is forbidden in France.
I've loved flying since I was a kid, back in the 70s. For me, the flight itself (and the view outside the window) has been and, all these many decades later, continues to be my fav part of any trip. But I'm curious, Doc. With all the flying that you have done, have you become any less of a "nervous flyer" over the years?
P.S. Flying to St. Barts and experiencing that landing is most definitely on my bucket list. Not sure if it was on yours…ha ha. 😉 Looking forward to your vid, next week. 🙂
❤❤❤❤ merci beaucoup
I'm happy to have no fear of flying over water, next time tomorrow on a business trip from FRA to MIA in Condors new business class.
Hey Traveler, Yes, Maho Beach is notorious. With the lengths people will go to to get as close to the underside of aircraft coming in for landing.
People usually get "Blown" off their footing standing against the fence line there at the head of the runway. There have been injuries in the past.
There are Three (Webcams) at St. Martin. (1) at the Airport, so you can plane spot, (2) at the Port, and (3) up on the mountain looking down and around.
The "Very Cool" landing is of the KLM 747 that usually serves the island.
When the Grand Pilgrimage takes place to St., Barths, the Caravan of Private Jets that use St. Martin as a hopping off point, in order to take smaller transfers over to the island. (read: Helicopters)
Usually during the Holiday's and Especially at New Years Celebrations over there.
Aww, no sneak peek at who is traveling with you !!! I will have to see if you brought the Executive Assistant Team on this trip next week !!! he he he he
Interesting how the only business travelers in business class are vloggers.
As per usual, magnificent ! However, I do see an added bonus coming back to the channel for this Caribbean adventure – the lovely and incomparable Mrs LTE ? Am I correct ??
At 25:09, its name should be couscous, but I understand when you said pearl pasta😅
Strangely I never get afraid flying over oceans
Great trip, thanks.
Noooo!!! F-GZCN was the exact same plane I flew onboard it way back in August 2010 from CDG-DXB, it was wearing the old livery and had the old cabin at that time. I even saw “Laval” landing in Beirut Lebanon recently on 19 April 2025, when I was about to board my MEA A330 to Dubai. Memories, with this plane thanks for sharing this video.
I love how you replace the GE CF6 takeoff sound with RR Trent 7000 engines 🤣🤣
Wow, this video is really well done! I love how you captured the details of the Air France Business Class experience. Personally, though, I feel like the seating on the A330 isn’t as spacious as some other airlines offer. It makes me wonder if comfort is being sacrificed for style these days. What do you all think?
Is it just me, or did lunch look like dinner and dinner looked like lunch?
Un A330 en 2 2 2😮💨
A very, very long time ago I flew to St.Martin (but naturally the airport is on the Dutch side) and enjoyed my stay. Loved the French cuisine and to this day one of my best meals was a simple roast chicken on rice with a fresh baguette and butter. Your AIR FRANCE meals looked superb! Envious but glad you traveled Air France. If or when I go back I need to travel the right way. Landing at that airport on the island always gave me the creeps. Too close to too many people on the beach.
air france = NO PRIVACY at all 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Sounded like you put the audio of either a Trent 7000 A330Neo or Trent 1000 787 on top of those glorious CF6s during that takeoff roll… 🤣
wow, this video is really well done! the quality is amazing and it gives a great insight into the Air France experience. however, I personally think the whole business class hype is a bit overrated. I mean, sure, the seats look comfy, but can they justify the huge price difference compared to premium economy? just wondering if others feel the same.
