Charcuterie boards have a tendency to be overly expensive. I’m talking about dropping between $100-$300 on a single board! And yeah, I understand the quality of food you’re buying is worth it… but we can definitely make some great choices for cheaper that ultimately taste and look the same.

  1. Hey guys, VO mistake on the gastrique. We edited in me saying water when it should have been VINEGAR!!! Idk how that happened but it's 1 cup vinegar and 1 cup water! Papa love u very sorry I'm only human please forgive me. : _ )

  2. I clicked on this video looking for a video of making the board. Not what I was looking for but still enjoyed watching

  3. There’s some things I’m willing to sacrifice on flavor for price like meats and breads but I’m such a fan of all the pricey cheeses, jams, and I love a good butter on my board too ❤️

  4. Smoking your own cheese will also go far. You can get the $2 a block cheese instead of the $6 smaller blocks of smoked cheese.

  5. I am so proud to be german
I make it for less and have better sausage the chees is her pricy to but jez i have allwas 4 or 5 diffrent salamis in my frige 😂 and from the butcher

  6. Curious as someone who just likes to eat cheese lol what would be the best of them all for a budget a lot of stuff can get expensive which is crazy

  7. Americans are really the kind of people who can't appreciate hacing a piece of bread and cheese and some salt to put on them!

  8. Being French, I'll never understand how charcutaille became this super expensive hipster-targeted thing is the US. It's starting to be like this in the motherland, too. Back in the day, a charcuterie board was a thing that 4 buddies, probably suffering from alcoholism, would have after a shit day at work. You'd gather whatever cold cuts you had and add a bit of compté or morbier (if you really felt freaky) to the thing. It was more of a social relief han a culinary experience.

  9. A pack of string cheese and a half pound of Genoa salami. Wrap the sticks in the salami, cut them in half. I do these for every party and everyone loves them

  10. I realise im late. I love your channel. Please stop saying "bad boys". I hate how much I cringe lol

  11. Both boards look amazing but I have to say all things considered I would go for the cheaper board. A splurge is always nice but I think overall it’s the 30 dollar board for me.

  12. I agree about the stinky blue cheese. No way am I going to eat something that smells/tastes like it might have been scraped from between a homeless person's toes! Eeeeyyyew!
