  1. Can attest to the megatron jalapeno. I’ve grown it for 3 years and everyone always asks how I get my jalapeños so big! They’re huge.

  2. I have lots of little seedlings already. Lots of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. I got cocky and planted my herbs outside in pots 2 weeks ago, but i think I lost most of them. Luckily there is still lots of time to start more.

  3. N. E. Wisconsin. I grew celery from seed last year. Transplanted them, then moved outside. In the fall I threw some 6 mil plastic over them and they stayed alive. There still out there. Lol 2 years now and green

  4. I feel the Florida one 😭
I’m in the desert in SoCal. Extreme temperatures that are anything but consistent year to year. In fact, this week we went from 95° to a high of 60° and freezing temperatures at night. Last February it was nice and cool, this year it’s like the thermostat broke.
I talked to a master gardener in the area and I’m straight up just moving my raised beds to the north side of my house. It’s the only way they’re going to survive the heat waves at this point and I’m excited to see how my plants do.

  5. Last year I planted Ozark beauty and honeyoe strawberries bare root. I took all the flowers off but I let one of each go to try them smaller then my thumb lol. I'm hoping they do good this year. I did 2, 100 ft rows I might do jewl and one other kind this year as well but I have alot on my plate already between my trees and other fruits and vegetables

  6. The one thing I would take note on concerning calendula flowers (which are amazing) but…They are susceptible to powdery mildew in the PNW and they usually get it before the squash, cucs and melons start to struggle. I had calendula flowers planted all around these plants and it really spread the mildew to my squash, melons and cucs. It was a bad year. Lesson learned. Knowledge is power!

  7. I did the multi-seed cell tactic with my things like bell peppers and tomatos, but I started some celery as well and when I saw the seeds I was like yea
    Naw
And just tippity tapped the packet to sow them. Hopefully it works out but I'm not too optimistic. It gets hot pretty quick here so I might have to start them in mid-February next year.
I also may have over covered them but we'll see I guess.

  8. I wish you would talk about where you are and your zone. A lot of the info you give seems so wrong for Michigan. But I don’t know how much to adjust.

  9. I surprised myself by already germinating majority of those 😂 I wanted to restart my little garden this year. This time Im growing english lavender from seed.

  10. Im so sad because I love your channel but as a Canadian I will be unsubscribing to all American content creators for the foreseeable future. Best of luck

  11. Hehe, way ahead of you! My basils this year are going crazy. I planted them in January and I'm almost at the point where I have no more space anywhere for more plants. (Note though: I live in Mexico and good pesto is crazy expensive here. 😅)

  12. It's hard to know when our last frost is down here in south East Texas because our weather and temperatures are crazy. So, at least for me, seed starting has always been very hot or miss. I loose my plants because I start them way to soon or really late and get Plant but no fruit. 😢

  13. Thank you for featuring Shannie in this video. I know there could be criticism, but it is so important to highlight gardening for everyone, including, and very importantly, new parents! Way to go Epic Team ❤ 👶 👩‍🍼

  14. Everyone keeps talking about how hard it is to grow tomatoes. I don't understand why? I stick them in the ground and as long as I keep the yard chickens from eating the blooms, I get more tomatoes than I can use. Maybe it's because I always grow heirloom varieties?
I've even taken a tomato plant inside and overwintered it in my dining room. The next spring, back out into the garden it went (after I pulled off all the suckers to root.) I think of them like weeds, they will take over and become a pest if I'm not careful.

Eggplant… that's something that I've NEVER been able to grow to maturity. They will get tiny little eggplants and just set there until they rot, never growing larger than a couple of inches at most. :(.

  15. Thanks so much giving out so much great information on starting seats and how they work in the garden hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie. I watched from the beginning to the end. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. OK one am I doing? what did I miss? Oh OK have a big bear. Oh yeah, last year I

  16. Finally reached the latest episode. You've grown epicly Sir Kevin. Looking forward for the Epic Homestead next. I only started a desert rose and calamansi so far at the rooftop though here in Philippines 😁

  17. In the Bay Area bell peppers are almost $3 each 😭😭😭 and I love making fajitas. I’ve planted peppers before but only green this year I’m giving it a try with a variety of color including the lavender color. Wish me luck.

  18. Zone 5B and I got the indoor seeds started. Getting low yield of sprouts. Im using epic gardening seed starting LED and heat mat. After the seedling get bigger Im moving them into a grow tent to get bit bigger before transplanting into garden after last frost in month and half. Really hope that more seeds grow. Disheartening seeing only 3 of 15 zucchinis coming up. .
