This week, I’m trading the warm winds of Spain for the chilly charm of France as I embark on a festive van life adventure! Crossing the Spanish-French border marks the start of my mission to visit some of the best Christmas markets in Europe. From mulled wine and twinkling lights to unique holiday traditions, I’ll be soaking up all the Christmas magic along the way. My journey kicks off in Béziers, where I find a free campervan stop at a stunning vineyard—complete with complimentary wine tasting.
But van life isn’t without its challenges! Along the way, I take a wrong turn onto a toll road, accidentally stumble upon the world’s tallest bridge, and face my fear of driving over it. The detour was nerve-wracking but rewarded me with breathtaking views. After hours of driving, I finally arrive in Reims, ready to explore one of France’s most famous Christmas markets. It’s been a whirlwind of festive adventure, and this is only the beginning as I prepare to visit Christmas markets in Belgium and beyond!

Another great video.
I got caught out on Millau Bridge too (it tends to happen when you attempt to cross the valley on non-toll routes, you suddenly find yourself pointing in the wrong direction with no other exit).
It’s pronounced Rarnce by the way; think Lance with a bit of an r added in the middle. It took me many years of passing through before anybody explained that to me 🤨👌💙❤️

Wow, you've traveled quite far north. If you are near the Netherlands, I can recommend Valkenburg's Christmas markets in two underground quarries and the beautiful city center. wish you a warm Christmas in the cold north🤣☃️🎄
