November is here and we love to eat a French classic which is tartiflette. Quick & simple & delicious.
Jane cooked this in the oven at 200° centigrade which is 392° fahrenheit.
There are many recipes available on the internet I like this from the Hairy Bikers:

Looks amazing, similar to American cheesy scalloped potatoes and ham.
That looked so yummy. So enjoyed the video
Great recipe!
Yummy Scrummy Jane.
That meal looks absolutely scrumptious!
It looks delicious!
That looks absolutely delicious! 😋 Woofs to the girls! ❤🐾❤🐾
Delicious! I would love to more traditional French home cooking recipes!
Salad Nicoise, French Toast, French Onion Soup, Beef Bourginon, My spelling of French leaves much to be desired. Madelaines, Champagne, Omlette with cheese and spinach or artichokes. I've never had Tartiflette…yet. What was Coco Chanel's favorite dish…I wonder?
I am going to make this! This looks amazing ❣️😊😘
A bit a better butter…
Acadian french – Rappie (aka Rapure/Rapee pie)
Another awesome thrifty potato dish with meat instead of cheese!
(from southern nova scotia + new brunswick, canada)
Makes me homesick just thinking of it.
Oh my…. That looks absolutely decadent! Love French cooking – the cream, butter, wine, cheese… my favorite food groups for pure comfort. My quick favorite treat: Baked brie, baked elephant garlic (drizzle with olive oil)…. serve with crusty bread and a nice wine. I like to add a nice salad or steamed veggie (broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower) to balance it all out.
Will definitely cook this delicious recipe. ❤
Thanks Jane and Michael. Haven't cooked Tartiflette in ages. Yummy. Between that, Beef Bourginon and Cassoulet, I can cope with winter. Not everyday, but as a treat!
Yummmm !!!! your house must smell so great !🎉❤WE NEED SMELLAVISION !!!
The puppies want some.Thank you😂
Damn good job on cutting the cheese wheel in half 😊
Very tasty looking meal.
Well demonstrated✔️
Thank you Jane and Mike for the recipe 👍🇦🇺
Tartiflette! Yum! A true French Christmas market meal. Add a sausage for one more euro. At home I substitute cauliflower for the potatoes to cut the carbs. Yummmmm!
looks great Jane, will add it to my list for Saturday night treat tea
Tasty ! My 2 favorites recipes : Truite aux Amandes et à la crème and Choucroute too
Jane, our mouths were watering looking at your tartiflette!!! It looked delicious!!
I just put on 5 pounds watching this! I had 2 favorite French recipes until I watched this – parmesan soufflé and coq au vin, but this glorious and decadent recipe has bumped those to the bottom of the list Yum!
I laughed out loud when you said not to use spray cheese out of a can. Only, we Americans would do that! lol
Totally yummy. Going to have a go at it. Thank you.
I have just watched this twice to write the recipe down definitely going to make this, will probably use Camembert as we love it.
That looks really delicious! I have that same shallow dish, so useful for many hearty meals.
I like just saying the word tartiflette.
Tried your recipe, loved it!!! Used 4 different cheeses, smoky bacon, shallots and home grown garlic!!! Made 2 smaller pans one for today and one for another day!!!
With those ingredients this can't help but be delicious !
Definitely a wonderful dish… one that warms the heart right to the core 🤣.. tfs.
Sounds and looks delicious
Bacon is getting a bit expensive here in California, but I recently discovered that the 'trimmings' left when the butcher makes all those nice even slices are called 'ends and pieces' and are sold in a sort of bundle at less than half the price of the slices at my local supermarket. A few minutes in the freezer and a sharp knife give you reasonably priced lardons.
that looks so delicious. I'll definitely be trying this recipe this winter. My husband loves potatoes, so I hope he likes this!
How gorgeous! I do believe that dish will be gracing my table for our Christmas dinner this holiday season!
I had to resist the urge to rush to lidl to buy the ingredients and make it straightghtaway . Will have to be tomorrow
Looks delicious! Thank you!
For simple comfort food it has to be a croque monsieur or madame. French onion soup. If I had to choose dessert, it would be creme brulee or tarte tatin.
I bet Mike's glad you're not Gordon Ramsay too!
This looks very tasty. I’ll have to make it this week. My favourite French dish is Bouillabaisse soup.
That looks delicious. I love your step by step recipe videos and I enjoyed Mike's comments too. I have made a note of this recipe so I can buy the ingredients next time I go shopping.Thank you for your joint efforts.
Do you have a website where you have a link to each of your recipies?
Really Liked this, ~ will try to make this Soon, 💗🫓🥖🍷
I can practically smell it! I think mushrooms would be good added to this.
I can’t wait to make this! I was gifted a large wedge of Brie cheese, and have all the rest of the ingredients on hand for a smaller version. Thank you!
Really do need to try this. I love potatoes, cheese and bacon 🥔🧀🥓
Fabulous food.
Thx you. Will be making this soon. Yum yum
Another good dish using potatoes, onions and bacon is Kugelis, a Lithuanian dish.
