  1. I use the bowl in bowl method. Heat up in microwave, transfer the hot bowl in another bowl. Not hot (at least much less hot so it can be carried).

  2. Essential tremors is a condition that targets many as they age, and with so many homes having over the stove microwaves, that bowl holder could be useful, but why not just make a microwaveable removeable tray so you can use for any dish?

In my experience, any bread/bakery product that is microwaved will get tough and hard quickly as it cools, so IDC how well that toastie thing works, if it takes you more than 2 minutes to eat, it's gonna be inferior.

I've been trying to make healthy choices for the last few years, and when I saw the mini pie maker, I had mixed feelings. I imagine some people will buy it thinking "one mini pie is healthier than eating a whole pie!" but then, unless you make your crust and filling from scratch, you are going to wind up with leftovers and feel you have to eat more pies to use them up, so I had a negative feeling. However, then I thought of other uses (probably makes a good egg bite, IDK, I don't eat eggs) and got excited about the giant faux crab rangoon I could make with a rice paper wrapper, neufchatel, and surimi, and that would be the juiciest rangoon ever lol. One big failure of gadgets like that is, either both sided aren't wired to heat, or the wire between the two sides wears out easily. In either case, preheating a really long time (10-15 minutes) helps even the heat, but you have to repeat that reheat in between uses.

  3. I’m assuming y’all know they sell microwave/range vent combos. It doesn’t have to be one or the other

  4. That onion reminded me of the time when during the pandemic my little sister attempted to make onion rings (at the age of 8)… Let me tell you, the kitchen looked like a battlefield after that 🙈😂

  5. Hi Rach, it's been almost 4 years, when are you going to do part 2 of the 100 hour brownie experiment? 😅

  6. 28:10 this product would probably work great for me. I can’t make pasta anymore because of my tremor – I spill the boiling water on myself / the floor when trying to move from the stove to sink to drain – but this would eliminate that problem for me

  7. The kettle at around 5:05 is made for frying and storing used oil so you wouldn’t have the need to transfer huge amounts of oil to a different container. You can fry in it, set aside after, and use again in the future without transferring to any pan

  8. Great I’m 27 weeks pregnant and obsessed with onions now I’m gonna have to try to figure out how to cook a blooming onion with a two-year-old running around thanks, Rachel

  9. @11:35 I MUST have one of those microwave caddies – My child ALWAYS boils over his ramen in the microwave, this thing is a perfect catch basin for his starchy ramen boils as well as the hot bowl.

  10. The soup thing is nice if it fits your bowls and microwave. 🙂

Paying $30 for the blooming onion thing is ridiculous. You can just use a couple of food storage containers to shake batches in and just tap or let drip over the container for a few seconds. I can see how the slice guide could be helpful for some but I'm sure you can find that alone for cheaper.

  11. My thing about the kettle is if I bought it for boiling water in, I would not use it for frying or for cooking anything else because it’s made of steel and steel and iron love to trap flavors of other things and I don’t want oily flavored water
